1. What this site provides
Free solar calculators and explanatory articles. No account is required and nothing is sold here directly.
2. The calculators are estimates, not engineering
Every figure on this site is an estimate produced from the values you enter and from published reference data. Real results depend on your roof, your shading, your local weather, your utility’s tariff and net metering rules, your equipment, and the quality of the installation. None of those are knowable from a web form.
Nothing here is a substitute for a licensed professional. Electrical work on a solar system involves DC voltages and currents capable of causing fire, serious injury, and death. Conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, and disconnection means must be designed and installed to the codes in force where you live, and inspected. Use these calculators to plan, to budget, and to check a quote you have been given. Do not use them as the design basis for an installation.
Where this site cites the National Electrical Code — Chapter 9 Table 8 for conductor resistance, 310.16 for ampacity, 690.8 for continuous duty — it does so as a design aid. Code adoption and amendment vary by jurisdiction, and the authority having jurisdiction in your area decides what is acceptable. Not this website.
3. No financial advice
Payback periods, savings estimates and return figures are illustrative. They are not financial advice and not a prediction of what you will save. Electricity prices change, tariffs change, incentives change, and the federal residential clean energy credit expired on 31 December 2025. Do your own diligence before committing money.

This site is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the information is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose, and we exclude all implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published here, including equipment bought, systems built, or money spent on the basis of a calculation. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that limitation.

The text, calculators and underlying methodology on this site are ours. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages wholesale, or reproduce the calculators, without permission.
9. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, attempt to break it, or use it unlawfully.
