Corrections

If a calculator returns a number you believe is wrong, this is the most useful message you can send. Please include which calculator, the values you entered, the result you got, and the result you expected. Engineering corrections are checked against the source — NEC tables, NREL irradiance data — and if the site is wrong it gets fixed and the page updated.

Questions about your own system

We cannot design a system for you, quote on one, or tell you whether a particular installer’s proposal is fair. We are not licensed electricians or installers, and a specific recommendation for a specific property is exactly the thing that needs someone qualified standing in front of it. What the calculators are good for is understanding the shape of the answer before you talk to anyone, and sanity-checking a quote once you have one.

Response time

This is a small site run by one person. Expect a few days rather than a few hours, and expect corrections to be prioritised over everything else.
